Veteran’s Benefits

Check out the necessary steps in applying for various veterans educational benefits, including Yellow Ribbon Program benefits, as Tulane is a participating school.

In addition, service members may access loan counseling information throughout this website and/or through an institutional financial aid advisor at Tulane. Service members may contact Financial Aid support staff or financial aid counselors for loan counseling. The financial aid advisor(s) for loan counseling may provide:

  1. a clear and complete explanation of available financial aid, including Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended
  2. a description of the differences between private and federal student loans including terms, conditions, repayment and forgiveness options
  3. disclosure of Tulane's Cohort Default Rate
  4. explanation that students have the ability to refuse all or borrow less than the maximum student loan amount allowed.

Please note that while veteran's educational benefits are not counted as financial aid for federal aid purposes, they are counted as outside gift aid for institutional aid purposes.
